Default Potential Buy? ? ? ? ?

[align=left]Hello All!
I'm new here, and am in search of some information or advice...
I'm found a good condition CBR1000F which I am considering
buying...
It has some minor scraps which I should be able to get sorted out,
but also a missing panel on the R/H side of the bike - the part which forms a
cover between the fairing lower and runs part way along the exhaust pipe -
forming a cowl of sorts.
I'm wondering how much difficulty I might have in sourcing that part - with it been an
old bike - It's a 1993 K plate (UK)
Thanks for any input offered!

Welcome to the Forum ! If you buy it, you'll need a manual.

Hope it works -

Panel parts are fairly easily obtainable -which model is it, as the panels are different..?..

gill, that is awsome, to get a nice sound effect try drilling a 1/4 inch hole in one of those pipes , my old 350 had a rust hole in it , you could hear it coming a ile down the rode!!

Thanks for such quick replies everyone!
Here's some pics of my potential puchase:

One of these shows the missing "lower cowl" ...

Supposedly, the machine has covered 19,000 miles - but this can't be verified...
But the MCN review does give these bikes a glowing write up!

It's a 1993 K, as I said, but I'm not sure which specific incarnation it is? Any ideas?

Thanks for your help everyone! :-)

Father Zed

To post pictures, go to fast reply and just above the main box where you type, you will see a small yellow icon on the far right (looks something like a picture of a mountain). Click on this and a box will open up. From your photobucket site, identify the photo you want to add, then cut and past the "direct link" address from under your picture into this new box. Press OK then your picture will appear in the reply. PM me if you get stuck.

Nice looking bike mate. Welcome to the forum. Whereabouts on earth are you?
Phil
