Question Please Help needed re temp guage

Guys, somewhere on the forum I seem to remember something about temp guages when not working, anyway my problem is this;

temp guage just stopped working when out on bike.. All other guages are working.

have tested by shorting guage against frame and no reaction on the guage (seem to recall this from the post).
Checked back of guages and all seems correct.
Bike runs to temp and fan cuts in when hot.

Any suggestions?

Cheers guys

Perhaps the sender unit - or the lead to the sender unit.

I'd trace the wire, making sure it hasn't earthed anywhere and if that's fine look at the temperature sender unit - I have had a couple fail in cars over the years.

Did you remove and reseat the wires on the back of the gauge? Could also be corrosion.

Good luck with it!

Cheers, SB
