Default pic's of my first cbr1000fr

Hello all,
here's a pic of my first cbr1000fr
Name: 10062010160.jpg
Views: 175
Size: 122.7 KB
only had her 3 weeks, picked up for £900,put a new Hagon shock in,Pirelli Diablo Strada tyres, serviced and carb clean, cleaned and greased brakes,K&N air filter.
Think the forks are upgraded as alot firmer than standard(complements the Hagon rear nicely)
Just been for a week in the French Pyranees with a group of friends all on supersport bikes(blade,zx10,RSV ect) and she held her head high through all the twisties and at the end of each day i had no aches and pains, unlike some of the others!
Have a bit of a problem though,as soon as the revs get up to around 6000rpm it starts cutting out and will not rev cleanly up to the redline, cleaned carbs, checked all connections on the coils,i'm sure its electrical,a coil or lead braking down.
The Pirelli Diablo tyres were fantastic, that good in the mountains that the pegs were touching down both sides, they give loads of feedback even from cold and grip like the grim reaper on your soul.
Brakes are really strong with EBC HH sintered pads in and braided main lines, even confortable with the linked brakes!
I am very happy with her as a sport tourer and plan on many upgrades and unique parts to make her just right for me,why buy a Blackbird for much more money when i can make this one so perfect.
Will keep you all updated on any mods i make and i am so glad i bought her, she's really surprised me how capable she is at all things,a true jack of all trades,
kind regards,GN

Very tidy and a bargain! If the miles aren't through the roof you'd pay at least AU$5k for such a clean one.

That is very cherry. Unique colors look very good. Congrats. Every time I walk past mine I still get a little thrill, even if I don't have time to jump on.

Great bike, even better price - gee 900 quid is NOTHING for a bike in that condition.
On the breakdown at 6000 I'd say it could be coils .............
or she's not getting enough gas - maybe a blockage in the fuel delivery, or a hole in the petcock membrane..........?

Welcome m8, tidy looking bike you have. The firmer front end, it may have had hagon progressive springs installed to replace the originals. I did it to mine and it's a different bike now.

Enjoy your Ballistic Sofa
