Default Pics from a Charity Ride (Not Dialup Friendly)

I was a ride Marshal at a Charity Ride in Perth, Western Australia on the weekend.

We got at least 2000 riders to raise funds for a Spinal Re-hab hospital.

Just thought I'd share some pics.

Great photo's - thanks!

Bikes everywhere and fantastic weather, what more could you ask for.

All those police bikes look a bit scary though. Parked just too far apart for the "domino" effect to work properly.

I see 9 cop bikes there. Let's say at least one more is coming or is on patrol, 2000 charitable riders divided by 10 cops is 1 cop for every 200 riders. That's about right. Someone could have been hurt with all that money being thrown around.

Great photos, it looks like most of the riders were pretty well equipped with all their gear on. What was the temp on that day? I love the motorcycle cops, those Hondas really look great.

Thanks for sharing.

Hahahaha Hahahaha

That's totally ignoring the other 10 bikes parked round the corner, the Police helicopter overhead so high you dont notice but with good enough cameras to tell you what brand of cigarettes you dont smoke and the plain clothes guys wandering about. Yep. Oh yes, no doubt there will be a few squad cars here and there - hell, maybe even a van. So where is your average now?

Man, i'm only joshin. Looked like a great day out.

It was a great day. About 27 Deg C so a few people got burnt.

The Police were great. They closed off all the intersections and made all the lights green so that we didn't have to mingle with the traffic.

It was mostly up to us ride marshalls to slow down or speed the group. Thest best thing was at the Marshalls briefing we were given permission by the Police to do upto 20kph over the speed limit if there was too big a gap and we needed to bunch up the group.

There is no better feeling in the world when a cop tells you to go over the limit to keep up with the group.

It was great with all the kids waving to us on the streets etc.
