Hi guys i have a 1997 cbr 1ooof duel linked brake system model. Was wanting to know have any of you guys tried the ultimate unleaded petrol and if so how did you find it compared to the standard unleaded. Cheers

I have never tried high grade unleaded. Im too cheap!! Mine seems to run fine on the cheap stuff.

Mine runs just fine on 91ron regular. One local servo stopped selling it and I run 95 sometimes. There's no difference at all so i'm not going to pay heaps for the 98 stuff.

IMO just a waste of $. A higher compression engine would need higher octane to prevent pre-ignition but i think these were designed to run on the regular stuff.

I have used both but cannot tell any difference(I do burn around 250ml of oil per 100km though!)

I used to use premium. Honda says to use regular. I haven't noticed any problems with regular.
@jarvid- that works out to a qt. every 236 miles. That's really bad. Do you leave a blue smoke trail?

Just looked in my book and it says 91 octane (RON/RM) and comp. of 10.5. Here reg. is 87, mid is 89 and prem. is 92-93. I have never used anything but 92-93. Do u find better fuel mileage with 87? Or is it just the price?

I'm pretty sure my old 2 stroke MX bikes used to use less than that
