Oil pump drive chain

What are the parameters of the oil pump drive chain, only with my sump off doing the Cush drive rubbers on the white one, noticing the chain, although you cannot pull it off the back of the pump sprocket there is a little bit of slack in it as it goes up to the crank shaft....any ideas.
Thanks.

Now, I'll preface this with the comment that I have no experience with the oil pump chain.

A quick search with Google Fu found this site: https://forum.motorcyclenews.com/top...l-pump-chain/2

And reading through it, this comment:

oil pump chain
Don't be in a rush to change it just yet. Because it's not critical for valve timing and it's pretty short so there is no noise either, it can run pretty loose. There is no service limit on the chain and it doesn't have a tensioner which does allow it to run on the loose side. To give you an idea of how loose it can run, the procedure for removing the oil-pump drive sprocket to get to the pump involves fitting a sprocket holder special tool, undoing the loctited bolt, then pulling the sprocket off the shaft 5-6mm when the chain can be simply lifted off.

Hope that helps.

Cheers, SB

Thanks for that, I guessed it was not of huge importance
