Nurburg Ring trip - updated

Tomorrow morning I leave for about a week on a trip to the Nurburg Ring track in Germany. The track is quite long, about 20 km in a mountin region with lots of curves and up/down hills. http://www.roadracers.co.uk/nring.htm
It is something I have wanted to do for several years, and now the time has come. First 350 km by bike in Sweden to Gotenburg. Then 500 km by ferry to Kiel in norden Germany, taking 13 hours. Finally another 500 km on German Autobanhn (mostly without speed restrictions) down to the crossing of Rhen and Mosel river near Koblentz.

New Michelin Power 2CT tyres (softer lean sections) are in place. I'll post a short report and a few pictures when back next week. I've taken a before-picture of the bike, just in case .

Edit: Here are two pics from the trip to Nurburg Ring. It was a great experience which I definitly recommend since the track was hired for training only and no tourist busses etc behind hidden corners which could be the case on public days. We where 7 people in our group the first day, the group was among the fastest of about a total of 10 groups. Two persons leaved the group the first day since they felt to stressed. The second day one of the remaining 5 crashed hard in a 90 degree turn when he paniced. We did not gor any information how he did, may be they are so used to it, or they are not allowed to comment at all. I felt very safe all the time, just to follow the experienced instructor, have faith in the bike and tyres. I drowe about 1000 km today on the way home, could not get any ferry. Wished I have had the CBR on the transportation part. My bike is the # 66 Suzuki taken at lunch brake. As one can se there are not much of safety zones if going off the track, the hard wall is only some meter outside the curbs.

There is a really cool Ghost Rider video of him riding the track that you should check out if you get the chance. It makes me wish that I could go ride it. Have fun and give us a full report when you get back!
