Default Not sure what the proper title should be

Ok, I don't consider myself stupid or dumb. I am certainly a novice wrencher but usually can fugure out a problem on my own. But this problem I have seems to be dealing with Geometry, which I am not very good at.
I can't seem to line up the left side Pivot Cover. Right side lined up no problem. The foot peg is in the way of it lining up correctly. (see pics)

1st pic shows the Pivot cover attached to frame and how the foot peg is in the way

2nd pic shows the gap the foot peg is making for the bolt hole

3rd is another view of the area

Funny thing, I took the foot peg off and it fits perfect, adding to my confussion.

any suggestions here????

Thanks, Matt

I think it's in your peg, man. Your peg looks like it's sitting too far back. The bottom of your peg should dam near line up with the foot of your side stand.

I'm not sure how you did it.. lol... but it looks like you maybe mismatched peg parts or something.

I'd fit the footpeg back first (I assume it's a std peg ?) and work around it to fit the cover back..................Maybe you're using the wrong holes..........?

bigger problem - your stator connector (the big red one) looks like it's begging to melt!

malbo, good eye. I just bought the bike in Dec haven't put one mile on it yet. Don't know how long it's been like that or why it looks like it melted some. Anyway, can anyone tell me what the dimentions of your 93 left foot peg mount?
I have not removed the peg. Don't even know if it's stock.

Thanks, Matt

Well if the part came off it has to go back...................no two ways about it !
The two shots you put up seem to have the back plate at different angles............?
And I'd have a good look at that charging system - good call Malbojah.

Take a look at this pic.

The footpeg is too far back.

The trim plate you are trying to fit should pass behind the gear change lever

Matt, can you take a pic of just the peg and mount without the kick panel in the way? That would help.

It looks to me like you have an 87/88 peg bracket on a 93 Honda...

I could be wrong? How the hell did that happen?? Is this a joke?? LOL..
