Not cct, not Balance shaft, what's making that noise?

You may improve it a lot by balancing your carbs - my camchain was new and the carbs were out of sync and it causes your camchain to whip around all over.
Set the vacuums on the carbs - if it improves things, then you probably need a new camchain tensioner..................
If it doesn't, it may be the main alternator chain - which I think is an engine out job...............I've just done my starter damper and I couldn't see a way of replacing the alternator chain tensioner any other way.
If the noise improves when the bike is warm, probably associated with the camchain....................
Best I can do from here.............

Gee that is a tough one to call ...
At first I though it might be as simple as an exhaust leak?
On the engine headers where they clamp up they can get some weird little ticking happening if one is not quite sealed...?
but after listening a few times to your vid ..hmmmmm

As Pete said , we can only guess from here ....
Mine has the original cam chain rattle because om too slack to get onto the change over
and mine don't sound like that ...
If she was mine , I would get her apart and check a few things immediately....rip the cam cover off and take a peek , ...then rip the clutch out and have a good look ... they are relatively easy checks to make, so if I were you I would get stuck into them first and see what you find..
With cam chain rattles , from my personal experience , I have been running her hard with no problems for mths , but if something else is happening in your engine , I would not ignore it .!!

I agree. I think look at the simple things first. Carb balance can play havoc with rattling. I am worried however if what I heard is correct.
I only watched the vid once but it definitely seemed louder towards the bottom of the motor??? If that is the case then most likely to be a pull down & one of the bottom chains. The oil pump chain is a small non tensioned chain. It's possible that is fried or it's sprocket is loose. If after the other checks you still have problems pull the sump off & have a poke around in there. Beware that there is stuff all room. The alternator chain tensioner has a small ratchet pawl on it with very fine teeth. If you push the tensioner & over tighten it you run the risk of stripping the teeth the first time you start the bike. Make sure it it is only tensioned by its spring & no more but it must hold position by it's ratchet teeth. If it is no good that sorry, pull the motor out & split the cases.
