Hoped you'd find some muck in there, a good clean of what you have there and the new parts, can only be good news , fingers crossed matey and remember to get those carbs screwed up nice and tight to the inlet rubber

Yup that'd do it lol

Don't forget to replace the fuel filter, and probably replace the fuel hose with ethanol-resistant lines while you're at it

It will again be a gag to get the carburetor back on the intake rubbers.

I now wait for the jet kit and all the seals, then put everything in it and secure it

Today I have completely cleaned the carburettor.

The vacuum rubbers on top of the needle how would I best clean it?

I am going to put a new petrol filter and also a new petrol tube.

I'm also going to change all the bolts with new stainless hex bolts

on the inlet side where the filter pods are sitting there are aluminum venturis, do I have to leave them on or can they be removed?

Yes matey they are engineered with a curled lip on the top to create a flow into the venturi, I have a technical paper somewhere explaining it, will search for it
