Newbie says hello
Hiya,
Just a little note to say a big hello. Just aquired a 1990 cbr 1000f in red / white livery. Been loving it so far and am happy to have found a forum board for fellow owners of these machines.
Look forward to participating on the site.
Thanks for now and see you all around. )

Thanks for the welcome, looks a nice bike from that piccie. I see you also have the original blue seat, I'm afraid mine has been replaced at some point in the bikes life for a black one. Do you have a rack on the back for attaching luggage?
The cbr1000f seems to be a bit of a rarity here in Scotland, have yet to see another one of similar style, I know of a blue 88 hurricane local to my area but thats about it.
Look forward to being a member of the community here tho.
Thanks.

Greetings and welcome to the site. Nice looking bike. You asked about the Corbin seat - my '91 has a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady and I can't say enough about the comfort. Riding until the tank is empty is no problem. With this seat you sit lower, almost in the bike, and that changes your posture. I'm 6'1" with fairly long arms and find no need of risers with this seat. When riding my son's '88 it feels lilke I'm sitting higher and have more forward lean to reach the bar. I'd probably want risers with the stock seat.
