Default New tires

Hello to all, I'm replacing rubber for my 87, looking at Dunlop GT501 in stock sizing. Any input on these, especially for wet riding, is appreciated. Ride safe!

Most of my riding is on dry roads, but they are very twisty. And the roads are made of what they call tar-and-chip. That's where they put hot tar on the road and throw down small, sharp rocks. Then they roll the rocks into the tar. Excellent grip, but very tough on tires.

I'm the original owner of a 79 Suzuki GS1000, and I've used almost every type of bias-ply tire on it. For my last two sets, I've been using Pirelli Sport Demons and they are the best yet.

I just put a set of Dunlop GT501 on my bike friday. I was hoping to break them in this weekend, but looks like rain all weekend. What little I rode on them, I liked the way they feel. Being brand new tires, they felt pretty good.
