Default New Owner (Lancashire, UK)

I thought I'd pop in and say hello; this sub-forum looks pretty active, which is nice to see.

I've owned a 1993 model for, ooh, about 36 hours, which I recently acquired from ebay uk. All seems to be in decent order with the bike, though I'm sure I'll be looking for an uprated reg/rec as a preventative measure.

When the piggy-bank has recovered from buying the bike itself!

I haven't owned a big I4 for a while, but I am a former CBR1100XX owner, so I roughly knew what to expect. My '93 was a French import; no idea if the 100bhp restrictor is still on the carbs, but it doesn't feel like it.

Cheers folks, .

Welcome to the CBR Forum Raginmund,

Alsways good to see another CBR1000F owner join, and good on you for the 36 hour ownership

Ask any questions you need, we have quite a few UK owners so you may yet catch up with a few of those.

Cheers, SB

Welcome to the Forum
37000k, about 23000 miles.

Had a full fluids service last September, plus re-greased linkages etc, but I don't know if/when the carbs or valves have been looked at.

She certainly feels fit enough, based on the couple of hours I spent riding on Friday.

Also has the Nexxus cans and s/s downpipes, and the full Shad wing-rack. I'll have to see if my old Givis will fit, but doesn't look like it at first glance.

Welcome to the mad house mate and congratulations on your new bike.

Looks like you've bought a good'n with all the right mods. An upgraded RR from electrex will be a good insurance policy.

Do you have a thread link, part number, or ebay magick for the electrix?

Thanks.
