Default New clutch needed. Any help here?

Okay, so I have recently figured out that I need a new clutch for this bike. Especially when it is cold, and I decide to roll back on the throttle, around 7,500 rpm's the thing SLIPS to 12,000. After it warms up, it doens't do it so bad, but is still slipping a little. ESPECIALLY if you try to power shift into second and roll that throttle back hard, it doesn't seem to want to catch. So, I am looking around for shops to replace the clutch and I am curious as to people who might have had to replace the clutch in a 93. What seems to be a good price range to be acceptable? Is this something that is pretty easy that I might be able to do myself?

My CBR 1000 F -92 did exactly the same. I replaced the friction plates and installed 10% harder new springs. The clutch worked perfectly after that. The old plates and springs where within spec, maybe some previous owner had baked car oil into the plates or they have been victims for to much abuse and glazed, I really don’t know. The cost for plates and springs was about 100 dollars. The job was VERY easy to do, just open the clutch cover, remove the 5 spring bolts and put the new stuff in. The spring bolts should be secured with a torque spanner.

Barnett or EBC Friction plates & springs aren't that much dearer than stock so I'd go for them.

Changing it is a piece of **** with no more than a basic toolkit needed. Here is a tip though. Get yourself a gasket scraper to make life easier.
