Need a lift .... then some advice :)
So all this work on the bikes and the concrete floor out in the garage
quite simply freezes my nuts off even with a propane jet engine
heater going ......... so now I 'm researching lifts ....... bike lifts and not
the little floor jack type ***** either ..... the full blown table lift type like the
Titan 1000 or the HANDY line of lifts ($$$) etc.
I know my good friend Bordo got one recently of the generic kind but as he
said hiz self ...... priced right and very happy with it ..............
So I'm asking any of youze Guys ........ Good Hurricaneers & others too
have any opinions on what is good "full platform type " lift for the "right"
price ????? seriously
any opinions ......... ?

Throw down some old carpet then you big girl's blouse. What's that saying? If it's too cold, you're too old (maybe it was 'too loud' but WTF?)

Harbor Freight has some lifts that are a lot cheaper than the one you linked to, like this one, that's foot operated for $400- http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...ift-91764.html, or this air lift for $430 http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...ift-94121.html or this one for $500- http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...ift-94813.html I can't attest to their quality, but you can check out the reviews on their site. I also don't know how close their closest store is to you, but you can also check that out on their site.
OK. Two posts in a row. Let me say this first. I'm not affiliated with Harbor Freight in any way. Second, after posting my comment above, I clicked on a couple of other threads and low and behold, at the bottom of the page was an ad for Harbor Freight. whether this was sheer coincidence or the ad was somehow generated by my post. I don't know. Anyhow, the ad offered 10% off any item, and though the link was bad, playing with the links address I came up with this- http://www.harborfreight.com/savings...aign=IBbanners. Who knows how long this offer will last.

Hey SPROCK: Bought a Harbor Freight last year. 1200 lbs Air Lift, with wing extentions for lift and ramp. Was a good price at the time. Local store no freight charge. Now they deliver to your door and charge $300.00
shipping. Pay full price, get a good deal, get a piece of junk and fix it, Steal One... what ever it takes. Once you have one you'll wonder how or why you did'nt get one years before. My knees have loved me since I stopped placing them on concrete for 3/4 of the weekend. If it's cold concrete thats even worse. In the future I hope to aquire a new Goldwing and a lift is a wonderful way to clean and wax. Good Luck

shipping etc
Yeah Tuck' I hear ya the shipping messes up the affordability factor
which is why I'm leaning towards the local purchase and p/u option.
Dayum Malbo ............. that's a sweet deal on a Handy .... I'd jump
on one like that too if I could find one !
Dave , it's mostly the ole back that gives out not so much the cold

For the money, you could get 2 of these and change both tires at the same time. Storage space would be less also.[link]
