Well done, now you can get back to riding instead of tinkering!
It is a great feeling to work something like that out without having to take it to a shop(who probably couldn`t work it out anyway).

True, given the choice I'd always rather try to fix a problem myself than send it off to a garage that'll do exactly the same job as me, but charge me a fortune for the privilege.
Next job is MOT and full respray. Haven't decided between a deep ebony black (kinda like a cbr1100xx) or a bright pearl white... or maybe a combination of both: white wheels, black body & subtle white stickers etc. I'll have to mock up on the laptop before I make a decision.

Great news with the fix, well done!

(torque x RPM) / 5252 = HP

so...cut RPM in half will result in most likely less than half HP.
It must have been a real dog due to the weight:HP ratio at speed.
I can't imagine rolling it on at 65mph or higher, must have been nothing there.

About 57hp then, not too bad but not enough lol had as much power as my GPZ500S. Still enough to pass the cagers but not enough to have some fun.
On the bright side I'm running out of gears before I'm running out of power now though so might be considering either smaller rear sprocket (cheap and easy) or 6-speed transmission swap (expensive and reasonably difficult) to try claw back some top end.
I know the bike's only meant to be able to do about 160 anyway but given a nice bit of road ...ahem I mean local track near mine (think I got away with that) I'm hitting the limiter in top a bit too easily. It feels like there should be another gear in there or that the ones there should be a bit longer...
