Default My add on/upgrades evaluation

These are my upgrades:
1-V&H header system- love the look, sound, fit , finish and easy install(can keep center stand, but I don't have it). Remember to use NEW exhaust gaskets
2-Removable wrap around foam grips (velcro attached)-great killing vibration and very comfortable for long trips
3-Thumb or palm rest accelerator-best thing when your hand is getting tired and can be placed exactly where you want it
4-H4 55/100*-safety and better vision at night
5-H4 yellow filter*-safety and better vision when foggy
6-Vinyl headlight cover-easy install and cheap protection for the costly headlight($289 new and $140 used)
7-Motorcycle alarm with engine cut off-peace of mind against bike jacking. This is an old alarm system(circa 1988) and if not riding frequently, it will drain the battery, so I keep Battery Tender on all the time
8-Battery Tender-Best thing I have done since getting the alarm, don't forget to check water level on the battery every 3-4 weeks
9-Rear wheel stand- once you loose the center stand, it comes very handy for service(oil changes, tune ups, bike cleaning, chain lubrication and moving the bike around)
10-Honda decals-custom look, looks good and I like it. It saves me from telling people what brand of bike it is(since they are blind or can't read the gas tank)
11-Carbon Fiber gas tank scratch protector-self explanatory
12-K&N filter- better filtration and throttle response
13-V&H ignition timing advancing sprocket-better low end response
14-OEM rear seat cowling- looks AWESOME!! and NO, IT'S NOT FOR SALE
15-Carburetors Jet kit- can't remember size, but no flat spot on midrange after exhaust system
*To install, you have to undress your bike to replace the light bulb and you know what a pain that is, unless you have little/miniature hands*

To be done soon:
The paint on the wheels is peeling and need to decide, if to paint again Silver, Charcoal Grey(to match the gas tank) or Chrome them.

Questions and input are welcome.

I will try to post photos of all of the above later today.

Bike must sound and look great after all that..
Mine only has 11k on the clock and runs great so i'm hoping i don't have to touch it for awhile. The stock performance is far beyond me anyway. The paint is peeling very badly on the wheels so i'll have to get them powder coated soon, i'll live with it for the summer.

Hey Baron did you fit a different air filter. I'm thinking of fitting a K&N. Will i need to rejet for this or will it fit straight in and what are the benefits apart from longer life.
Cheers,
Mark.

Yes, I have a K & N filter, the re-jetting was done, because of the aftermarket exhaust.
Honestly, I could not pick on any performance from the filter, because it was done at the same time of the Yoshi, Jets and Timing sprocket.
I aslo need to powder coat my wheels, it's a matter of picking a color(Silver or Charcoal Grey).
My bike has 4.5K on the meter.

Red Baron, this is gerat to see what folks have done for add-ons changes to there baby. Bike is in great shape

Here's what I've done to mine:
TwoBros slip on (just added last week, luv the new sound and gained some power)
Genmar risers (no more pain)
Throttle rocker (for long highway rides)
Sport touring Zero Gravity windshield
K&N Filter
stage 1 jet kit
Corbin Seat
Givi Wing rack (2 E360 side bags, and E460 topbox)
Break flashing Led lights (mounted plate in back)
Oury grips http://www.rstc.net/ourygrip/html/motorcycle_grips.html
Clear Tank protector
Oxford Tankbag

I just added the Oury grips last week, these things are awesome, I highly recommend them for any bike, they took they little vibration you would get at higher rpm's away. Can't wait to try them out on a longer ride. I've got 38k on my bike and picked it up with 12k on it. I usually average about 6k a year. I'll try and get pics up soon, i did post some in the gallery.
Baron, thought about changing my sprockets when I had chain, and breaks done last seasonm, but wasn't sure what the result would be. What did you you change on the sprockets?

Don't you guys hate the stock seat ?[8D] I sold mine on ebay, to corbin so much better, the only problem is it isn't locked in and will slide a little when I juice it.
