My 88 mk1- mk3 bodywork
Hey:
As I got some Painting done this week, now that I am not working anymore I figured I better take advantage of the time off before I find my next Job. So here is the middle of the 88 transformation. Going to be like a 94 in paint and style just a little different. This is after the VFR peg upgrades and a few other changes that I'll go indepth on the MK1 to M3K how to when I get it finished.

Hey:
@Hawkwind, yes the Front calipers are off a 94-97 VFR750F (the rear is a RC-51 Caliper w/ modded 600 F3 bracket) and may be going on my CBX if I get the RC-51 forks uprated enough to work on the 88 CBR, the way I want. The front wheel is a 92 VFR750F with 88 CBR1KF rotors to get it all to match correctly.
On the 91 I went with the 94-97 VFR750F front wheel and 97 1100XX rotors to get the 1100XX calipers to work on them as I wanted a full foater front as I am making/modifing 1 off brackets to adapt the 1100XX linked braking system to the Hurricane forks. The 91 will also get a XX swingarm and an adapted rear rotor to make it all work together, but I need to get a new base for the twin clicker to make it work. (on order)
@ Sprock it is for a 91-94 VFR750F resprung and valved to work for my app. Fox made about 1/2 a dozen twin clickers for the CBR1KFs back in the day but there was not a big sales item for them so they stopped. This was per the Fox rep I talked to when I was looking to buy another one, awhile back (I was inquiring about buying new Fox shocks for my ****** Race Jeep project ATT).
I think Penske, NTR, Ohlins, Biturbo, Hagon and Mupo will make you up something but it is probably cheaper to buy another bike, LOL. Contact Traxxion Dynamics in Woodstock Ga. as they may be able to help you out.

Hey:
Wilbers are fine replacement shocks, about the same as a new Showa, but IMHO not up to the adjustability that some of the other suspension companies offer for just some more money. You get what you pay for, but I rather have the features I need and use without wanting something better on such a large investment for the difference. IMHO Elka is such a company that builds very good components, and within reason is not that much more money for what you get. And what you get is a very custom item. Maybe not Biturbo, Mupo or Ohlins race, by recognizable name, but a great part none the less. Check them out. Also they are fairly close to you, in Canada.
Stage 3 Sportsbike Shock Absorbers | www.elkasuspension.com or if you really want to go all out try these
Stage 4 Sportsbike Shock Absorbers | www.elkasuspension.com
Also White power and Works performance are like these. But I am sure you have already researched this, I figured I would just toss this out, as I have had good luck with them on other bike projects.

Hey:
Sprock, Don't be to concerned that they don't list your year bike as long as you know your
weight, the bikes weight loaded, shock length, shock type, options you want, and the size of the clevis opening and diameter of the top bolt, You should be good, The custom prices were are about the same as the models listed unless its way out of the norm, atleast they used to be. Maybe if they get enough interest we can organise a group buy from them.
