Interesting read; however, through all of it they didn't touch on something that (I) hear the overwhelming majority of the time between auto and moto oil: friction multipliers and energy conserving oils. And sorry to say this but don't be upset if no one else responds, there are numerous oil threads.

OMG Not again !
NO NO NONONO !
Car oils have additives that will cause your clutch to slip on a bike.
Also car oils have "short chain molecules" which will be smashed in a bike's gearbox in 1000 miles. Diesel is made of "long chain molecules"
Use Rotella T 10/40 0r 20/50 DIESEL OIL
WHY ?

Like Sprock said Ken its now a boring subject. Its been flogged to within an inch of it's life on here and every other bike forum that's on the interweb. I find you get what you pay for. It's your bike put in it whatever you like.
