Question Mk1 87/88 ?

Is there a trick to getting the brake pin plugs out of these calipers
without farking up the flat head slot ?

89 -> don't have this setup !

Yup - impact driver.
My buddy messed up his threads and now fills the space with silicon - much easier to get out !

89 -> don't have this setup !
My 90 does and they're a pain every time !

And a bit of Copaslip as they go back in so they don't catch you out again next time round.

A hot air gun and a bit of penetrant can work wonders (air gun is not hot enough to damage seals but allowing for different expansion rates of ally n steal can make the job easy)

Ditto copaslip or nickel antiseez

Hey:

Just make sure you use hi temp copper anti sieze, unlike the person before you and all should be good next time, as menioned above use impact to remove.

Buy the impact driver or stay in the kitchen.

I have two of them. Ha!

ps, You will need to buy a hammer also.
