RE: Mirror extensions
@ Chitownart, Nice job!
Just wondering, do you have spacers on your grips? I have a cigarette lighter in the same place as yours, but when I plug anything into it it hits my right brake lever. I was thinking on raising them anyways for comfort. Do you have any issues with yours?
Another slow day at work for Shadow.......?? hehe

RE: Mirror extensions
I was up way too early - couldn't sleep, then my appearance schedule was very light, so even more time to play.....
I also have hands like a swamp crab (XXL gloves, XXXL in Alpinestars) so I've always found my grips a bit skinny, and they gave me cramps, so I borrowed a tip from an old golf pro and wrapped masking tape around the bare metal bars, about three layers, sloshed some petrol in the grips, and shoved them on...result : nice, fat grips, no more cramps......
A cigarette lighter on your bars. Gill ? Explain how you can smoke and ride at the same time, it's not a Harley, is it ? he he

No no silly, the cigarette light (12V supply) is for my GPS. And the outlet is mounted on the right hand side in the console. I thought (at the time) that this was the best spot for it, but now the hole is drilled and outlet mounted. I had a nice little motorola car charger but it doesnt work with the Garmin adapter, and the Garmin adapter is freakin huge! I might have to "modify" the car charger with a hammer....

RE: Mirror extensions
I have that problem - mirrors are useless for me - I do have an eating disorder though "Procrastinating Bulemic" It means I binge eat, but never get around to throwing up .
I went with a bar end mirror (Right Hand) , it looks kind of goofy - but works really well aside from the joking I have a shoulder injury that makes it hard to look over my right shoulder and stay in a straight line !
I am soon going to get rid of the cheapo one I modified that was from a mountain bike and buy a decent pair

I notice that, I have the mirrors adjusted quite well, but the boots don't fit properly cause of how far the mirrors are push back (towards the front).
I have blind spot mirrors on my mirrors to help, they work good.
