RE: Low speed cruise and traffic
I ride my CBR to school in the morning traffic every day, and yes if traffic is very tight and there is a lot of stop and goes, it can be kinda hard bike to ride. It's not build to be driven like this I think, but mine has been ridden like the past 2 years and has coped with it anyway.
But it's defently not a metropol freindly bike...

Noe, thats strange mine gets a 50 / 50 of traffic and highway use and I have found it to be a very easy bike to throw her around with a fast response on the throttle which has gotten me out of trouble a couple of times, I can throw my girl around like she is a 250 in traffic and when shes on the open road she is just at home doing 130 K. You know when you ride a bike and it feels "Just Right" thats what mine does, I am 6 foot 3 tall weight about 110 Kilos so I am no lightweight either and I normally have the wife on the back on weekends.

This is the kind of riding the CBR1K is made for of course, but I also use her daily to commute into Central London. I'm only 162cm tall (in my boots!) so have to be a bit careful with her in heavy traffic but she doesn't half go when I want her to....

RE: Low speed cruise and traffic
I had a moment the other day,
I took the bike out for a ride and went and saw a mate, I got back home, but had to go out again, cause the bike was running so well.
Nearly home, I had to stop at a red light, I was second behind in the 3rd lane.
I decided to move up front between lane 2&3 so to take off quickly and get in front of the traffic.
On takeoff, I rev to 6K and let the clutch out smoothly, the bike took off very nicely, as I smiled to myself, 'one of my better moments', I look to the left to see the WRX-Turbo, going for it from lane-1 and trailing. I pull back on the clutch in to take it to 8K and releasing to make sure of my fate, it was overkill.
