I am looking to buy a 1994 CBR 1000 and would like to know what everyone thinks about them. I heard that they are nose heavy so would like to know how they handle in turns and lifting the front end. And how does it compare to the CBR 1100XX Super Blackbird. Any help would be great just want to make sure I am buying the right bike.

I am an early owner ... 1989 CBR1000F
Yer the noses are a little heavy ... but I think it depends what you want your bike for ??
If you are after a nibble , light , ride ..then neither are for you ..
My opinion / impression : The CBR1000F feels like an ICBM missile to ride mate.. a little heavy , but solid as a rock , goes like **** out of a shanghai a little slow to turn , but look out if you get in its path..... it is not slow coach, it will get yu .. [8D]
I like the slightly heavy feel... it feels solid on the road ...
I love them ........... period !!!

I have not had a Mac for a Jack Burger all year.
I was drag in to a KFC months ago, had a mini wrap, and snotty nose kid serving me ask me if I want to Upsize.
Never again Coronel - rather an Ausie Pie or a Pub Steak & Chipsany day of the week.

I used haulbikes.com to ship mine from Mass. to Tx. cost $670 but it took them 2 months to get it to me. the other shipping companies quoted a little higher rates (780 up to 1200) but none would commit to a delivery time either. BTW I bought mine off ebay with out ever seeing it in person. I was so relieved when it arrived and looked and ran perfect.
edit...I looked it up on their website $585 for yours

Why not contact RAVEN - he lives in Ruidoso, NM, and ask him to look it over for you.
Maybe tallenuff or Tootall - one of them lives down there, not sure which. Sure they'll help you.
I have no idea of the distances involved in NM, so no flames please -[X(]
I have sent a PM to Raven letting him know what's up.
