Other than appearance, is there anything about the design that makes them perform any better than regular rotors ? They do look cool though...

Never realised that they did them for our bike. Did you get one for the rear as well? At least you'll be stopping quicker than most.

More surface area to dissapate more heat. Also better air "pumping" action to pull more air through the vents. Plus the look really cool [8D]

Wave rotors dissapate heat better.

Solid discs are actually better then vented discs, but they dont work to well on bikes because of the extra weight and getting crap in them. Buy using a wave rotor you are still getting a solid disc, but the shape means the pads clean themselves, have better feel and are lighter than original which helps in the handling just that little bit.

Galfers are also laser cut instead of stamped which makem em better as well.

But to be honest I never would have bought them at full price ($480 AUD each!) But my originals are starting to show their age with ridges and at $215 a pair I couldn't say no.

Ok, I guess I can see less weight, and some type of cleaning action as the curves pass the pads. I do have to admit they do look really cool. If you get an opportunity to take a photo of them side by side, I'd love to see the comparison, a shot of the Galfer on top of the factory one would be great as well. Justa request if you can. If not, no big deal.

Make sure you get photos of them when you get them installed.
