Longer throttle cables

2 Attachment(s)
So bike came with top yoke conversion for low superbike handlebars but have bought some high superbike bars and throttle cables are now to short on full lock to right. Anyone know if any other models fit that are longer or universal kit to make your own, thanks. Couple of pics now painted. Just need rear caliper, fit chain, fill with oil and see how she runs

Hey There Pilgrim (said in best John Wayne twang :) )

I like your bike! It looks fantastic in the black/gold livery.

How much higher than the standard CBR1000F bars are the high superbike bars? It may be that you need to return to standard cable length!? Other than that, if it is longer cables you need, you may want to search out VFR handle bar conversions for the CBR1000F. Not entirely sure, but some who have done it may have fitted longer cables. I'd start in the How To section.

Cheers, SB

If its only the throttle cables, what if they are routed to the right side of the frame?

+1 with sprock . ordered a motion pro cable the one for the pull cable for the throttle and it was long enough to rout it anyway u like

Hey Epic, was that due to you putting VFR bars on your bike?

Maybe there is something to be said for living in a small country miles from anybody else (as long as you discount the Aussies as we tend to do hahaha).About 5 km from where I live is a small company (2 guys) who manufacture cables of all kinds from short choke cables as on TKs CBR to big heavy Morse Cables to operate PTOs and Truck cranes (HIABs etc).If you take in a cable they can either repair or fabricate a new one or extend/shorten to whatever you want. There is an added bonus that they are both motorcyclists so are switched on to m/c type requirements and are also very reasonble pricewise.
You can find them on google under Melbar Cables Ltd

Longer throttle cable fix

Well purchased some 2000 vfr 800 throttle cables and work a treat. So if want to fit superbike bars these cables are a good fix.
