Let the fun begin...

I'm currently in the middle of doing the cam chain and tensioner. The tensioner was easy, running the chain through was a bitch, and I ended up pulling both cams. Taking a break because the camera craped out on me. Hopefully I'll do a write up on Wednesday (if I wake up)

Good luck with that malbojah , sometimes things get a bit more involved than you'd planned . Deep breaths , a fag or a coffee (or both) , save the beer till the jobs done;)

I've already had to run to the shop to get a telescoping magnet (dropped the old chain in when I split it, thank god it is made out of steel and not aluminum)

Mate ...sounds like you may be getting just a few grey hairs from it so far;)
Dropping the chain !!! ouch !

Did you ever read the big post/thread on this whole cam chain tensioner swap out process here on CBRF?

Well, the fun is on hold for a week. My cam chain riveting tool just snapped (didn't like how the first link came out, trying to replace it went the push rod snapped)

Now that is a bastard:eek:

Take it down to any workshop and get it TIG or MIG welded back together mate ..those tools are expensive ....at least too expensive to throw away ... ;)

Uh, there isn't a competent shop near where I live. Besides, the push rod is $5 from my dealer. I'll just have to order a couple extra (like I did with the master links because I knew something would happen)
