Default leaky petcock

hello, i have a leaking petcock on the 88 cbr1000f hurricane. if you turn it from on to anyother position it leaks. i can wiggle it and it might stop, but i've lost a lot of gas thru this valve over time. it looks like honda used a one time rivet to keep us out, but wonder if anyone has opened it up and repaired the valve with sucess. thanks,

I've seen petcock repair kits on e-bay.uk or US
May be easier to buy a secondhand one there though.

You can get the complete petcock for about $80.00 at Babbits on line. That includes the new filter also.

When I bought a used 96 a few months ago I had problems with the petcock and had to purchase the complete unit because my filter was torn. Don't regret spending the additional money and knowing one less thing to have problems with down the road.
