Key covers to stop scratches

Key covers to stop scratches
Here's a little tip if you have to keep more than one key on your bike key ring -
I have a pannier key which I have to carry, and I didn't want it to scratch my triple clamp.
Find some gasket cement, or any product that will dry with a flexible result - silicone, etc etc.
Squirt some onto a piece of wax paper, big enough to cover the shaft of the key.
squirt some "spray and cook" -Maybe even WD40 ,yup, on the blade of the key
Place the key on the cement, and then squish some more cement over the top.
Leave it to dry for 24 hours, and then cut out around the key (like a knife sheath)
When you pull the key out you have a flexible sheath that wont fall off and will protect your ignition area from scratches.
Works for me.

Yeah that clinking noise is a bit disconcerting!
Shadow, that's a good idea. Nice post.
I think after I polish up my triple and make it look nice....I'm just gonna keep all my keys but the ignition key in my pocket. I don't really need any other keys on my bike. No bags to unlock, etc.
