Blue, I would almost bet they are all plastic due to the ease of manufacturing plastic parts.

idodirt,

What size are your main jets. Mine are 124's, don't know what size they are stock. Runs very rich. Guess I'm going to buy an AF meter, or make one myself.

FarAway, funny you should ask. It just so happened that I photographed them while they were apart for cleaning. I'm pretty certain that they're 122.

Illustration of tang and float and where to measure. Note: This is not a CBR1000 carb.

Pic above is from www.DANSMC.com
Dan writes:
"The Tang of the float presses on the float needle (fuel inlet needle) letting gas into the float chamber when the level is low and shutting it off when it gets too high. If the Tang is metal, you can adjust the float level by bending it up or down. If it is plastic, it is not adjustable."

All this talk of rejetting has me thinking. I'm going to replace the stock exhaust with a lovely shiny V&H SSR2, delivered all the way from new york to my door in ireland in just 3 days just in time for christmas - thanks to ups..... I was lead to believe i don't need to rejet as my bike is a euro model and should be setup a little rich. Any advice on whether i'll need to rejet or not wouldbe appreciated.

On another note its blowing a gale over here and i've been spending the day chasing the bike cover down the end of the garden and putting it back on the bike - bet the neighbours are having a right laugh..... [:@]

If you know someone in the states. Why not have them to buy it and ship it to you.

Might be costly though.
