I am a new sad member
Hello I am a new sad member, and let me tell you why:
I got my brand new Honda Hurricane 1000CBR 25 years ago,
and I have been happilly riding it for many years, till 3 years
ago I retired, then I have open heart surgery, and since then
I just warm it up once or twice a week and some short rides,
finally very sad I have decided to sell it and let somebody else to
enjoy this beauty. It has 23000 miles, I put new chain
(very expensive) and new tires expensive also, and now I am
looking for I buyer, that is why I am a SAD member.
Please I will appreciate if someone can guide me on how can
I advertise my baby here in this forum.
Thanks in advance and Happy holidays to all.

Welcome!
Why do you not want to ride anymore? I know more than a few people that continue to ride after heart surgeries. In fact, most of them do more after than before!
As far as advertising it here on the forum, you can't until you reach senior member status at 100 posts. All of the rules for selling stuff are here: https://cbrforum.com/forum/bikes-sal...ing-ad-123141/.

74demon, thank you for your words, and info.
The main reason I do not ride is that I got a bigger
passion : Turning wood, and playing jazz guitar, and
after that literally I do not have more time, even I have the
same problem with my personal car, I do not drive it.
I listed my Hurrican in the craig list, but nobody has call,
a friend recommend me this forum.
Thank for everything.

Hi Jazzal,
Sad? That sounds like a bit of an understatement.
23,000 miles? Blimey, she's only just run in. Sounds like you've already been doing too much wood turning and playing guitar for the last 25 years already.
To give you an idea, if your bike belonged to me it would by now have nearly 600,000 miles on the clock over 25 years and I bet it would still sound as sweet as the day it rolled out of the showroom.
Someone's in for a bargain and a nice shiny new toy. Get an advert on flea bay. The CBR 1000F section is now so long, stuffed full of parts and bikes for sale, it shows clearly that these bikes are still sought after and still taken seriously by riders that want an inexpensive bang for their buck not to mention a highly reliable steed which will still hold its own against the latest competition. It's true, they don't make em like that any more.
When you've got your ad on line, post up the link.
Good luck with the wood turning. I know how it grabs you having done it for many years myself.
Remember to have plenty of tissues to wipe your eyes when she finally disappears in to distance with her new, proud owner.

HenryM, you are right, I should have more miles, not excuses, but I really
love my bike, I have had a bike since I was 12 years old ( Italian Carabela
100 cc ) plus " BSA 600 cc ", " Kawasaky 900 cc " " Honda CRX 6 cylinders
1000 cc " Yamaha 750 '' and the last one my " Negrita " Honda Hurrican 1000.
All of them but the Hurrican, I rode them in Mexico City, where you have great
whether, mountains, and riding everything is legal just having a little money in your pocket to give to the officer.
I live in Corpus Christi Texas, and the weather is extreme hot like hell or very cold
and not curves just straight roads.
Well thank you very much for your advise, I appreciate it. Make a SUPER holidays.

Welcome to the CBR Forum Jazzal - even if for just a short time.
Personally I'm sorry to hear of a rider not being able to continue to ride - and I can 'hear' your love of motorcycling in your words.
It sounds as though someone is going to get a lovely bike when it sells. Have a happy and safe Christmas.
Cheers, SB

I'm looking at your Craigslist posting - really nice bike - I like the paint and graphics!!
You should state in the ad that the tires and chain are new - additionally, you should state what brand of tire and type (example: Michelin Commander).
Did you only replace the chain and not the sprockets? How about the brake pads? If any of those have been replaced, update the ad with that information. Are the tags and inspection up to date?
I might also suggest that you place Craigslist ads in other cities .. for example, San Antonio, Victoria, and Houston. You'd be surprised - it's not unheard of for a person to drive 2-4+ hours to purchase a vehicle (I've driven (rental) to Dallas to buy a vehicle and drive it back home to Houston).
