Default Hydrographics to some parts

I got some parts dipped in CF today. I just wanted to modernise the bike a little bit without going over board and losing any of the stock look. They are yet to be clear coated tmrw so they look a little drab in the pic but it gets the point across. This with the clear lenses I installed last week have her looking awesome. Cheers.

Now you got me looking at all the DIY kits that are out there as I need to dip a tank
and some fairings on another bike I have. Some of those Hydrographic films are pretty
amazing.

Look forward to seeing yours with clear on them Bordo. Should give the carbon look
more definition and depth.

The guy that's doing them is going to post a pic of them clear coated on his FB page tonight. As soon as he does I will post on here. I am also looking at having the wheels on my Blackbird done in CF down the track. They are all scratched up from a little off I had 2 years ago as well as having ten years of wear and tear on them. They are $200 per rim though so I will be putting some coin away for that over the next couple months. Some of the prints they have are very nice. There are DIY kits which I may play with as well but for the moment I will have this guy do it. They key it appears is in the preparation of the piece being dipped. Get that right and your well on the way to having it look awesome.

UPDATE......
Parts have been clear coated today. I will have them on Friday. The guy took some pics for me but says they look even better in person.

I get them tmrw. I'm also going to have a go myself at the bottom pieces of fairing that attach to the side fairings and do them in CF as well. They are all chipped up anyway so I was going to get them repainted but thought I'll give this process a go on them and see how it goes.

OOOH - Very nice Bordo
On the lower fairings I'd coat them with clear fiberglass or clear polyurethane on top of the CF coating (which is pretty thin) to give them a bit more durability - those lower fairings take a fair bit of abuse.
FWIW
