Wow Paul, that is fantastic!

Sorry I have to disagree with though, she IS a show stopper

The paint turned out really well, tell your friend he's an artist

Well done man, I think we have a future ROTM contender here guys.

Wheelnut

That bike looks really awesome (or orsum if you are an ozzie) that is a great job.

I really like the expanded mesh behind the vents. So maybe it's not original colours but the colour scheme you have really sets off well with the bodywork style.

A great job.

One word : Farrrrrk.

That is very nice; brilliant job Wheelnut, and proof that the individual style can be just as way cool as the factory original. An absolute credit to you; and a definite vote from me when she turns up in ROTM.

well i have had a week of bliss riding her to and from work, she is in for her mot on saturday, the only problem she has is a small fuel leak, running without the fuel pump i have found the fuel tap doesnt turn off properley (i will sort this out) i have ordered new contacts for the pump and will fit them when i do the fuel tap, it looks like a float bowl gasket is leaking so i will be back out in the shed before saturday to sort it out.

but other than that she rides and handles like a dream, off all the bikes i have owned and its been a few i would rate her at the top, should have got a cane years ago

Well couldnt get the mot done saturday because of the fuel leak,so all 4 float bowl gaskets are to be relaced as well as all 4 needles and seats and the fuel tap will get new seals .
I had a few problems sourcing spares in the uk for the carbs and hondas prices are exspensive, but in the end i got everything i needed from

NRP motorcycle carburettor repair specialist but the search was done for sc21 and not cbr 1000f

so fingers crossed to have the old girl back up and running again next weekend.

a quick question the carbs on the fh and fj are 38.5mm as are the carbs on the fk and fl but none of the part numbers are the same are they the same carb as i can get carb repair kits for the fk and fl a fair bit cheaper ?
