Hurricane fork alternatives ?
 

I was just wondering if any one has tried to put other forks on the Cane's.
Any luck with fits?

I've thought about that too. Not that it would suit my old bike, but some inverted Ceriani's on some billit trees would add a certain race flavor for some of you.

What year is yours? The fork diameters are different on some models.

Narrrr... unless you have a bit of spare cash and a ton of time to play around with them ....you are better off just popping some good up grade springs in and better oil perhaps, to adjust dampening to your preferred setting or personal feel mate .... :-)


IMO ....if you want a better front end that bad???? ..
Sounds like you might need to move up to an 1000RR ..???

I think you'd have to take the route of a complete front from another bike like a busa
GSXR or later CBR 1000 which could require a little mod work at the head tube.

Taking that route would be the easiest imo

As i understand it the superhawk front ends swap in with a bit of work

Uprated fork springs and/or extra 10Ml of fork oil in each will change things - check earlier posts about it.

I'm surprised nobody pointed this out, but adding oil, and changing to thicker oil are two completely different things with unrelated (mostly) effects. If you're looking for more damping, you want thicker oil. If you're thinking maybe slightly heavier springs are in order, but you want to see if reducing dive a little will do the trick, then you want to add a little more oil.

re: springs: Sonic Springs makes springs for our bikes, and they're not expensive. Check out SonicSprings.com for info...and tell them I sent you! I've got a set of Sonic 1.05's in my bike now with slightly heavier oil in the stock volume, and they work great.
