I wonder how many miles you are doing in a year on motorcycle. In another thread I read that a guy did 50k miles in 20 years. I found that very little and started to wonder if I'm [&:] or not. This season I've done 11k miles on bike.

 

Depends on what I have to haul, if I take the bike or truck. Also the weather. We can get snow that will melt the next day or it can hang around all winter.

 

I'm a 7.5k - 10k bloke.

I did work for just under a year as a motorcycle courier a while back and racked up at least 1000 miles per week. All I did was eat, sleep and ride.

 

This year i've covered over 10k miles on the 1KF - mainly 2-up

Thats probably the most miles i've done in a year since i've been riding bikes!

 

I'm averaging 12,135 a year, but I've only had the bike about 15 months. Here are some really useless statistics on my bike.
I've gone 14629 miles since I purchased in Sept. '05
I've had the bike 440 days.
I've put gas in it 94 times.
I've purchased 337.5 gallons of gas.
I average 3.59 gallons per fill. (usually ride with others that have smaller tanks, so fill up sooner than I need)
I've spent $907.20 on gas, averaging $9.65 each fill up.
I go 4.6 days between fuel stops.
I average 155 miles between fuelings. (I don't always need gas, but at the start of a ride, I'll top it off)
My cost per mile is $0.062

I have a old Palm Pilot that I use a program called Teal Auto for tracking expenses on my vehicles.

 

I normally do around 10k miles a year, but this year I slacked off a lot. I wanted to save more money (coming in handy now with family issues). I wanted to go to different places, but being on the far side of no-where meant I would have to truck the bike where I wanted to go. And that would cost even more money and time off from work.

Only about 6 k miles but our summertime was only 6 months. And all for pleasure. Happy Xmas and sunny New Year to all members. Here still rains water and no snow anywhere else but Lappland.

 

About 14K in the last year, mostly to work and back. I drive the ute if I have to pick up the kids, or if it's raining when I head off in the morning, but I ride whenever I can.

Since I crashed my old CBR1kf, I have had this one since Dec 14 2005 and to date I have 12,500 miles on her. I started riding her 2 months after my crash and still racked the miles up! Hehehe.. We go on a trip in May and during that month my CBR will get between 3-4k miles that month. Depends on how far we go and how much I'm wanting to ride at the time. Since they have put the cops on "High Gear" since the holidays are near, I have been riding very little actually.

So far I've got 7800 miles so I'll prob. end up with around 14000 miles by April (which will be a year since I got my 1000rr). Sorry to invade the 1000f forum but I was just perusing the latest posts and found this.
