270 km/hindicated with a standard gearing. Real world speed I guess arround 255 km/h.
Had it going for about 2 km on the freeway before I had to back down. The Cane had a little left in the engine at the time, but not very much

Surppose thats fast enough for me...

There's a road in S. Florida called US-29. A section between US-41 and I-75 is pretty secluded and straight with few cross streets. It was newly paved with I'd say 3 or 4 months. Riding with some guys I had it up to somewhere between 160 and 165 mph. I didn't look down to see at the exact moment. She was still pulling, however slowly gaining when my "Brass" ran out . I looked at my gps laterand it had maxed out at 145 mph, so I'm fairly confident that's how fast I was going.

Hey guys.

I've seen 270kph on the speedo back in my mid 20's on an 90 FK model CBR 1000f.
Nice long straight with no cops back then, now it's crawling with them...
Must find a new road for when this ones ready..Lol...

280 km/h on the CBR 1000 F -92
299 km/h on the GSX R 1000 -03
320 Km/h on the CBR 1100 XX -97

All figures above are speedo readings, i.e. the actual speed was lower. All bikes were changed from 17T to 16T front sprocket, giving about 6% higher (false) reading than stock readings, which also are a bit high.

Anyway, the end result is that all bikes has beenpushed to theirtrue top speeds that are almost; 260 km/h for the Cane and about 285 km/h for the two later bikes.
