Just had another thought, run methylated spirits through the line then top up with your hydraulic fluid. I seem to recall that meths is good for giving a good dung out, will pick up water molecules and carry down to the bleeder. This is probably a bit old school; does anyone else remember that? and does it still work?

umm clutch uses a cable does it not?
yeah, it's funny that these bikes have hydraulic clutches, eh?
Among the other cool things about this bike is the regular valve adjusters. You can set the valves on these like you would a civic with a 10mm socket and allen key.
And the airbox is behind the motor, so you can get right to the valve cover and the carbs just by lifting the tank. The seat comes off with a keyed latch, too. Lotsa convenient stuff on the old 1000F.
The 600s are actually different in just about every way. It's weird....

Hello again,

well it didn't work. I replaced the clutch fluid. (much easier than I thought it would be)
but, the clutch is still its slippy ol self.

heres my problem, to see if you help me.

my clutch just feels like it doesn't fully engage, however when I rev it up to near red line, it suddenly engages and my bike takes off.
Due to this odd trait, I thought that it wasn't my clutch but rather the engagement of such.

I cannae figure out whats going on.

My truck did the same thing years ago and it was the slave cylinder seals. I have never had to work on my Hurricane clutch, but it would have to be a similar set up.
On my truck I could hold the clutch in, and as the pressure died due to a bad seal, the clutch would slowly start to engage and the truck would take off.
Maybe you can look on the fiche and see if there is a slave cylinder.
Just a thought...but i dont know much about the hurricane clutch.
