Honda Interceptor

Have any of you had any experience riding or reviewing the Honda Interceptor?I am curioushow it matches in comparison to the Hurricane in power and comfort. Seems like a nice bike but I'm not sure I am sold on a V-4 motor on a hot rod.

I like the looks of the newer VFR's (98-up).
Don't get me wrong, I almost bought a '96 a few weeks ago.
My buddy put almost 55k on this bike bike and loved it.
Couldn't give you a direct comparison, but he says it's a great tourer....very comfortable.
Not quiteas much grunt, but a very reliable, capable, and comfortable sport/tourer I've been told by many.

I think the racing lineage of the V-4 speaks for it's self.

VFR's are a very civilized ~100HP (critically acclaimed all-rounder) aka-gentlemen's sportbike.
It will handle anything on the road sans adventure trails. (I'll save that for a future Versys)
It gets the twisties and the long huals done with style and comfort.

It's not the HP machine like the 1000RR of the road glider ST1300, but the perfect compromise.
The price point keeps it well away from the $teens (especially a clean pre-owned)
I can only speak for the 6th gen. (rumored to be the end of the run), packed with the latest techno/safety features avail. without going into electro suspension adjusts, etc.

I like tooling around a bit with maintenance stuff but not into 5K valve adjustments so the major maintenance intervals will suit me fine.
The major diff. between gens 4, 5 and 6 , spawning respective loyalties are.
4th-pre fuel injection. (prolly a hot-rodder's fav.)
5th-fuel injct. gear driven cams.
6th-Vtec valving, chain driven cams, ABS, under seat exhuast cans.

It was an easy transition to move from the beloved Blue Lady.

How tall are you? I am 6'1" and a little cramped on the VFR.
