Hi Guys,
Hi Guys,
Recently I have mentioned that I have been experiencing problems starting my bike. What happens is that I start the bike on full choke for about 30 seconds, then half choke for another 30 seconds. After about 3 minutes the bike starts to lose revs, then dies.
What I have recently discovered is that when the bike initially starts, it has only been running on what fuel there is in the line at the time, the flow seems to stop at the fuel tap. When I remove the fuel line from the tap, the is a little gulping sound. Then when I reconnect the fuel line and give it full choke again, the engine starts without a hitch and runs all day perfectly.
Any ideas??

I've had the same problem....seems that if I use as little choke as possible, She'll start no problem. I replaced my fuel petcock assembly a short time ago, when the guy at the parts counter told me his computer showed like 2 left in the world, and mine was starting to leak...
I find that if I have the battery tender connected during the non-riding times, it also has enough to crank it and start no problem.
