Default HELP - RECENTLY BOUGHT CBR 1000f 1995

Hello guys, I'm from Brazil and just bought this nice old lady .

After doing some research on internet, I've noticed that my old lady is a little bit different from the ones I've saw on pictures, mine is 1994 model, from Japan.

I've attached some pictures.

What do you guys think?

Other than the color scheme, looks pretty normal to me? Congratulations!

What does the extra switch below the fuel gauge do? That looks aftermarket.

Thanks mate, I'm in love for this bike... I still don't know what that button makes, I will send her to my mechanic and try to find out.

by the way, I'm trying to find out why my bike is different from the ones I've seen on internet... see the red circle?

My guess is the bike has had an accident and broken that part of the bodywork.

Repairer has removed the broken bar and reshaped the vent.

Or, the whole bodywork is a replacement for a much more destructive accident. Who knows?

Nice job with some of the original decals.

Also the speedo, with MPH as the major reading, is from USA. Maybe the whole bike is from USA.

I'd say that it's done 110,812 miles.

Cheers

Dennis

I agree that looks like an aftermarket fairing, possibly based on a Japan-only CBR750F.

What's the model number stamped on the vin plate on the headstock?

Japanese bikes often had different bodywork than R.o.W. models. Look nice, smaller and more trim than U.S. versions

The condition looks very good and look like original exhausts as well, might well have only done 10k miles, very very nice.
