Whats up all... I need to know the length of the oil dipstick on an '88 1000? From the bottom of threads to end. I lost mine & have one ordered, but I just replaced my clutch & wanted to be sure I'm good on oil before I move it. Thanx

 

Hi mate just been out and measured mine and its 35mm to the full mark and 65mm to the end of the stick. Good luck mate, hope your new cap arrives soon. Its a pain trying to be accurate without it.

 

Hi there Spidermonkey ! I've got a '91 bike and the dip-stick length is 78mm , that's measured from where the threads stop i.e. just the metal bit.

I know it's a different year , but I think it's probably the same , can't see Mr Honda sourcing a different one for each model . I don't think there's much difference in engine design from year to year , he got it right and stuck with it

Wolfman has the same bike as you mate so I'd go with his measurements

 

Ha HAWK depends were you mesured it. I took the messurement from the bottom of the thread as Spider asked for. By the way you missed a good night out mate
