Default Hello Fellow 1000F Riders!

Hey guys.. very cool to see a forum just for us 1000F riders!

I've had mine for almost 3 years and have had a blast on it! It's my first bike, I learned to ride on this and did my testing with it.. I love it. It's also a fantastic touring bike with a special someone on the back. We've had it on many long trips and have been very comfortable.

Sad thing, is I am trying to sell it to move to a CBR929RR... looking to try something with a bit different geometry, gearing and power.

I'll post a few pics.. she is my baby and in great shape.

Cheers

cbr 1000f, nice bike. Last week(manic monday) I'm think'n, ya, whats next??????? "busa?, zx12, Black bird????? then i went out and rode my mint 94 1000f... dang, this thing, is a truely balanced package!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to do an "obsessive" search on newer hondas, 929's, 954's, 'birds, now that I have seen the light, of honda's build quality, dependability, and balanced package. When i scarfed my 94 off craigs list, last summer, I was look'n at a 1 owner, 7k 'bird, stock, mint and 5k$, out the door!!!!!!! 'tho , i would have been happy to have it also... I LOVE MY 1000f!!!!!!!!!!!! I't is so balanced. Seemingly does it all and i really dont miss that extra 25 mph top end, as 150+ is plenty(for now!!!! If you feel it's too slow, just do in a 35, it's all perspective!!!!)
Go check the 'busa forums, up till 03, even a low battery, can cause a catastrophic case destruction (back fire), that is,if the starter hasn't imploded, already. Not if, when!!!!!!! And zx 12's, seemingly drop tranny circlips, w/ disastorous results. I love my 1000f!!!!!!! ( do they"oil starve, wheelieing",? i heard 'blades do ) I love my 1000f. Clean and free, only smoke'n harleys, Ripp'n

Sadly, my 1000F sold on Monday. Both my girlfriend and I actually shed a tear for the old girl. But after selling her, we went bike shopping! Went to a half dozen bike shops (mostly honda dealers) looking at 2005 - 2006 CBR 1000RR's and trying to find the best deal. Just about when we were ready to sign the papers on an 06 1000RR, I asked if they had any "used" bikes around. The sales guy said "Oh for sure! Didn't know you were interested in used."

We walked to the back of the showroom, past the mechanics shop and into a "holding" room where bikes were sold, ready to sell.. etc and I saw it... I knew the minute I saw it that it was mine. I had never seen a paint scheme like what this is and it stood out among all the bikes back there, even the ducati! My girlfriend was a little in shock that I was so taken with this bike as it was not a CBR, and I've been a CBR nut since the 1000F.

So as sad as it is to move on from a bike that you love, I know I am EXTREMELY excited about the new season on my 2003 GSXR 1000.

Here's my new baby!

Have a great riding season guys!
