Default Headlight bulb replacement? "96

Which is the best way to get at the bulbs? Also the bulb was $26 at the dealer, anyone know of a cheaper source for the halogen bulbs?

Thanks!

That price doesn't sound too bad. Mr. Cycles charges $22.90 + shipping: http://www.mrcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp

Remove
1 windscreen
2 inner fairing panels
3 upper fairing inner panel
4 Bruise fingers for an hour or so getting bulbs in and out.

Buy standard car bulbs, and fit adaptor rings for $10 a pair, or cut tabs off std car bulbs and retain with just a spring. Prefer first option, available on e=Bay.
Enjoy !

Shadow, we've been here before. You don't need a spring- the stock retainer clip will hold the bulb in place with the tabs cut off just fine. The alternative method to Shadow's number 4 above is to remove the upper fairing (which means you have to remove the lowers too).

Retaining clip = spring
I still prefer the bulb adaptors though, Paco.

I agree the bulb adaptors work much nicer.
