Nice find Seb .
I'm reasonably comfortable with the knee/hip bend , forward lean is my issue now days.
Hands and wrists have issues from boxing years ago and my neck is screwed from a recent car crash.
Chiropractor is telling me to stop riding, but he can get stuffed .

Yeah, neck pain can be a real problem.

It's quite striking the difference in lean angle between the Beemer and the CBR!

My neck issues fade away on the Beemer.
It hurts virtually 24hrs a day now .
The real issue is the hands and wrists.
They just stop working and cramp up after about 40min on the CBR

I have a crook shoulder and found my hands would go numb after about 20k`s(my CBR is not the smoothest running example around due to engine mods).

I have found since installing Genmar risers and Vibranator tuned handlebar dampers/weights that my problems all but disappeared.

One more trick/advice that I got off here is to squeeze the tank with your knees more to take pressure off wrists, all these things together let me keep enjoying a ride instead of enduring a ride.

That's a good point too Jarvid, the right riding technique for the bike is also important.

Also I almost always wear leathers and the other day when I wore jeans for a short test ride, I found they were too slippery to grip the tank, putting all my weight on my wrists.

If you normally wear jeans to ride, maybe gripper pads on the sides of the tank would also help?

I have tried gripping the tank. I don't have major problems when in the twisties and fun stuff , more the boring straight cruise stuff I have for an hour in any direction.
My hand hurt even holding the steering wheel for an hour in the car .
I'll get there with these motocross bars for sure .
( and maybe a spoonfull of concrete

Okay all fitted up . Haven't test ridden as yet . Braided lines are my stuff up , too long .
Good new is the new bar clears the fairing without having to modify.

Wow, that has really moved them back!

Hope the new position is good for you Al. Great that it clears the fairings as well, a lot less hassle than trying to modify them too.

Let us know how the test ride goes

No chance of a test run for a week or so.
But I'm really happy with the outcome just sitting on it . My workmanship however leaves a lot to be desired.
Previous owner had put the bike down at some stage. Bent brackets everywhere, a real PITA to get all the body work back together.
I may still have to extend some wiring and possibly get new throttle cables made .
But seems workable atm .

I'm looking forward to putting more miles on this bike . Checking the log book for when I did the cam chain and tensioner, I've only done 1700kms in nearly 3 years.
I have had other bikes I've ridden in that time , but it's been the pain involved riding the CBR that has slowed the amount of time I spend on it . Hopefully this will fix that situation . Then all I have to worry about is keeping my license.
