Hey:
Sprock you are correct( I know you love hearing that) for the US timelines. 92 was a zero year to match USA intro year models so any MK3 Model made in Japan and sent to the USA would be a 1993 Model. And as you have stated correctly, they only were imported until 1996. So as not to take sales away from the then new in 1997 CBR1100XX. But that is USA only, the rest of the world, mostly Asian countries got the MK3 in 1992 as they have different laws to determine model year, just as some states do. Since I have not lived in the states as much as I have out of it, I have a different view of things when it comes to model years. It bugs the crap out of me that this site only list the CBR 1KF from 87-96 when it should be from 86-2000 per official Honda availability to the whole world. And as for the Daytona Yellow 91 with MK3 body work, I'll post up some pictures when I return home from the my latest deployment. So stay tuned.

Hey:
Another thing I want to point out as compared to the 3 different bodys, is that all seem to have owners that want to care for their bike. I was looking thru some of the pics here and they seem to be some very well taken care for and pampered bikes like they should be. My hats off to all of you that take such good care of your bikes.
But also on that note some of the best and of the worst cared for, have been the Gen 1s, from shameful to immaculate. No other year I see out has SUCH EXTREAMEs. I have even seen a great looking red/black Gen 1 example in Kabul, Afghanistan, I wish I had taken a pic of it now.
