Gen 1: Good.
Gen 2: Better.
Gen 3: Best!

I regard the gen 1 as a sort of road going prototype...sort of a test to see if it was worth persuing. The gen 2 was, quite obviously, an evolution of the species which, in turn, led to the pinnacle of the model, the gen 3.

Thoughts anyone??

I say we stop all this now before we have to split this forum into three separate ones.

Well, the Cali Gen2 Special is the "ONE" for sure Pete and we all know it
Hell there's that one on Ebay for $6500 still LOL ....

The Gen 1 was the prototype and the Gen3 was the eol model as things
were winding down with the design a little more ergonomic ! those
freakish linked brakes but a hair slower.... hee hee

So GEN 2 all the way baby

2,3,1 for me Dave

Still trying to get my hands on a suitably priced Gen 1 ( meaning not more
than a grand !)

Then I'll be fully informed .

Should have ridden Indy's bike at the dragon ....but he kept on going off
on solitary trips with his camera !

Off the top of my head it's

Gen 1 87-88

Gen 2 89-92

Gen 3 93 and later.

88 and 92 I think were changeover years, so a late 88 might be an early Gen 2 and so on.
