Good stuff Damo. Really, it's just a choice between three great bikes and I could have ended up with any. Just came across a 3 first with low kms and in pretty good nick.

All the dispatch riders in the UK used to ride cx500s in the '80s. Super reliable and some clocked up massive miles.

Good luck with the quest mate and, whatever model you end up with, you'll love it...even if it is one of the earlier fugglies .

What I remember from the magazines of two decades ago (and I still have most of them) was that the first two generations were a lot quicker than the third generation. In 1993, Honda must have slowed down the 1000F, because they didn't want it to be faster than their new superbike, the 900RR.
