Gearing my 1000F to hang with a blackbird.

The more I think about changing the gears, while its not that hard of a job to do, I am thinking how much I really enjoy the stock gearing on the 94 1000F. I know when i had the ole 88 cane geared at 16/44 while fun around town, was a buzzing machine going along on the expressway at any speed above 60 mph, pulling way to many rpms. I recently took the 94 up into the mountains and really liked the stock gearing. it was even better cruising at 75 mph on rolling hills to get there. She just loafed along with very little effort. Got great gas mileage also. Hitting right at 40 mpg. I remember the 88 cane after I geared it the gas mileage went to hell in a hurry.
You make a good point with the father/son analogy. Perfect and well said.
I still want to see what the ole 94 1000F will do in the 1/4. Just for fun.
