Default forward foot pegs

Before you read this, I know its not aCRUISER !

Anyone ever put Forward foot pegs or modified their forward frame sliders
to use as foot pegs on their CBR ?

I ride straight up alot on the interstate on my 45m commute,
and would like to stretch my legs sometimes.

Me too. I lean forward and I'm 6'1, and not made of rubber.

Why not try making use of the three bolts that hold on the black protective covers on either side of the bike. Find longer bolts of the same diameter and fabricate a plate or bracketand use the longer bolts to attach the bracket/plate to either side of the bike. Then mount some retractable pegs to each bracket and voila, you've got forward mounted pegs. It might look a little wierd, but, so what, if it makes your ride more comfotable.

Since my side plastics were gone when I got my bike, I have free access to the engine mounts.
If they weren't recessed I could hang my boots on the lower forward engine mount bolts.

Is this the bolt that is normally used for sliders ?

I think I'm gonna try to tweak a slider peg on the lower forward engine mount.
If it works I'll post my results

It is the upper forward mounts you use but you could put pegs on the lower ones to stretch the legs. I cramp up on the left leg on long runs
