Default Fitting New Driveshaft Seal

Hi, I haven't been around for while after my bike needed a new coil. I bought rode and sold a Honda vtr1000f. But my 87 cbr 1000 is still in the back of my garage. Got a new coil and leads and it fired up straight away but very smoky because I had coated the bores with oil (luckily the smoke only lasted for a little while and I was outside). Now I plan to give it the tidy up it deserves over the coming winter.

The first job is replace the drive shaft seal, I had a search on the forum but couldn't find any threads about it. Has anyone had to do this job? And if so do they have any tips or advice regarding the job and what other parts I might need other than the driveshaft seal?

Yeah, but I was hoping someone may have done the job already and would be able to give me some tips on things to watch for etc.

Got to ask - you are sure it's not the clutch slave cylinder leaking - mixing with chain
lube and dripping down ? ----- ask me how or why I might suggest this

recommend you check the clutch slave for leaking first
