RE: FENDER ELIMNATIOR
Hey:
Do you want to get rid of the 87-88 lower hugger fender only or what? Also you have to ditch the hugger rear fender if you ever want to go
to wider wheels. You can graft 90 or newer body work on if you can locate it, at the right price and have the tools, time and skill.
I went to the newer body work and it was alot of work and I had a complete donor bike, so I could measure what were the differences
between the 1st and last CBRs I also cut down and eliminated the rear lower fender on the newer bike, to smooth it up and when I redo it I
will get rid of it completely.
I am about to put all of this body work back on a newer bike (95 CBR 1000f) and sell it as I made the 88 frame fit the newer stuff not the
other way around, and bought the newer bike for its custom paint and body work to put on my 88.
If you can find a rear you like you can make it work if you take the time and have the tools and mechanical apptitude or a friend that does
that won't abandond the project half way thru.
Also I got the 1st one for my bike from this guy it was ok and worth the price to me to fix my problem at that time but, made a new one.
A wider one for the widen rear that I have went to. search on ebay CBR 1000 Fender Eliminator - Tail Tidy Item number: 4622373241.
here some pics of it on a 93up bike.
